Across the Group, we are proud to support several local and nationwide charities.
Specialist Protective Coatings Ltd is part of the Billington Charity Foundation. Launched in 2016 the foundation works to improve the support we offer to local and national charities and communities.
Every year we make financial or supportive contributions to local community activities and participate in charitable fundraising. Below are just some of the projects we have recently been involved in:
- Barnsley Hospice
- Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning
- Brain Tumour Research Wear a Hat Day
- Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice
Fundraising for various projects are often carried out by teams across the Billington Holdings Group and their efforts can involve fun activities such as wearing a red nose at work, a virtual quiz, wearing superhero themed clothing, wearing silly hats, or bringing humour into the office by sharing favourite jokes, all in the name of supporting charities. A number of organisations are nominated by members of the team as they have a personal connection and want to thank the staff for all of the exceptional work that they do.
As a business SPC actively tries to attract employees from the local market. It is a priority for us to invest in our people and give back to the region by contributing to the local economy. In addition to fundraising for local charities, the team gets involved with local causes such as sporting teams, and sponsorship of events in order to contribute to local projects in the community.
